From the 17th to the 19th of March 2020, the Johannesburg Arbitration Week will be hosted by the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa, leading firms of attorneys and various Bar Councils.

This international arbitration week will take place at the Maslow Convention Centre on Rivonia Road in Sandton, the core business district of South Africa.

Two years after enacting its Model Law legislation, South Africa has emerged as a pivotal African international arbitration hub with significant and complex regional, continental and global connections. Led by The Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA), South Africa has played an influential role in developing dispute resolution mechanisms along the African Silk Road, the SADC region, in BRICS and with China.

Johannesburg Arbitration Week provides an in-depth opportunity to explore from a Southern African perspective new horizons in the development of arbitration and mediation on the African continent; and also to keep abreast with the latest trends and controversies in global arbitration.

The conference fee of ZAR 9,000.00 (excluding 15% VAT) will cover three exciting conference days with outstanding speakers, an opening ceremony in true African style, all lunches, teas, coffees and refreshments, a wine tasting evening featuring the top wine makers in the country and a dinner with a difference.
